The application of artificial intelligence (AI) to fleet maintenance operations is one of the hottest topics on fleet managers minds these days. So much so, the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) hosted a special two-day track on this very subject as part of “The AI Summit,” held in conjunction with the Council’s 2026 Fall Meeting.
One of the consistent themes that came out of the two-day event was fleet managers should consider “narrow AI” projects that are targeted to specific tasks where AI-enhanced automation can produce real savings. Another theme that emerged from “The AI Summit” is that fleet managers seek actual guidance on how to use applicable AI offerings in their work — for example, how does one query or “talk” to generative AI solutions to get meaningful answers and solutions?
Attend this session and learn from our expert panel how fleets can apply AI solutions to various maintenance tasks which lend themselves to improvement through automation. We’ll provide guidelines on how fleet management can interact with these systems to improve data analysis, equipment prognostics, parts and labor utilization and much more. This technical session will go beyond explaining what AI technologies are and instead provide practical advice on how fleet managers can actually use AI in their daily operations to improve shop and vehicle performance.
